Microsoft Azure AD Setup for Active Protection Services Company

We set up Microsoft Azure AD for Active Protection Services Company, providing a robust identity and access management solution tailored to their specific needs. Setting up Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) involved several steps to ensure proper configuration and integration with existing systems.

Setting up Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) involved several steps to ensure proper configuration and integration with the existing IT infrastructure. Here’s a generalized guide on how we implemented this project:

  1. Initial Assessment of the company’s existing IT infrastructure  including user accounts, security policy and applications and identified specific requirements and objectives (centralized user management, SSO, MFA, etc…)
  2. Purchased required Azure AD Subscription and and applied the necessary basic configurations such as tenant, domain and configuration policies.
  3. User Provisioning and Synchronization by setting up user accounts in Azure AD by synchronizing with an existing on-premises Active Directory using Azure AD Connect.
  4. Single Sign-On (SSO) Configuration to allow users to access cloud applications using their existing corporate credentials and enabled Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and defined MFA policies based on user roles and security requirements.
  5. Configured conditional Access Policies to enforce additional security measures based on specific conditions, such as user location, device compliance, or risk level.
  6. Application Integration: Integrated cloud applications with Azure AD for centralized access management and authentication.
  7. Monitoring and Reporting:  Set up Azure AD logs and monitoring to track user activities, sign-in events, and security incidents. Configured alerts and reports to detect and respond to suspicious activities or security breaches.
  8. Training and Documentation: Provided training and documentation for the Company’s IT staff on managing and administering Azure AD.
  9. Ongoing Maintenance and Support: Regularly review and update Azure AD settings and configurations based on changes in business requirements or security best practices.
